When Is Black Friday 2026?

Black Friday 2026 falls on Friday, November 27, the day after Thanksgiving on Thursday, November 26. Cyber Monday follows on Monday, November 30.

The sale itself starts much earlier. Amazon has not announced its 2026 Black Friday event dates yet. In 2025 its Black Friday Week ran from November 20 to December 1, and if it follows the same pattern, the main event will open around a week before Thanksgiving. Early deals, many with a "Limited time deal" badge and an end date, are already live.

Other big retailers have published their calendars: Target's early sale runs November 5 to 7, Walmart's early deals run November 12 to 15 with its main event from November 23 to 29, and Best Buy's main Black Friday deals run November 19 to 28.

How To Spot A Real Black Friday Deal

A percentage off means little without knowing what it is measured against. On every card here, the crossed-out price is labelled as Amazon's list price or was price, the two reference prices Amazon reports. A list price is the manufacturer's suggested price, which some products rarely sell at. A was price reflects what the item recently sold for on Amazon, which is usually the more honest comparison.

Two more checks help. Compare the exact model number, because retailers often discount last year's version while the new one stays full price. And watch for bundles, where the saving comes from an accessory you might not want.
